i am not sure if it's true but i heard from a good source that wt has given instructions to elders to postponed disfellowshipping members from wrong doing/gross sin until further instructions given by headquarters.

i heard some jws were just reproved either privately or publically.

has anyone else heard anything like this recently?

Long Story of my Life/Experience

also, my wife has come to her limits of understanding me about the witnesses related grief i have been having.

she has told me many times to stop reading the ex-witness sites because i get depressed and become angry, which sadly is true.

it's not very productive to be sad throughout the entire day and then shout at your wife for the reason she has no first hand experience about, therefore how could she possibly know and help?

Congrats GrownMidget! I think that one/ many things the WT does to mess with your brain is say, "Wait on Jehovah" and "Don't get mad" and "Vengence is mine" and "Don't talk about the negative"..... when really, it is natural. It helps us solve problems, we interreact, we find solutions, it helps us work through things, right?

Once we get to freely express ourselves, we do not feel repressed. I am so sorry for what happened to you as a child, being forced to the floor, the crazy things (yes, crazy) that adults did to you! Anyone would say, "What the heck is going on here?" and children do not have the power, or the means to escape all of the time.

I am glad you made it!

Spend time with your wife, making her feel special, it will make you feel better every day!

so i've mentioned this friend of my husband's who started writing to me out of the blue about three years ago, decades after we d'aed.

last august i wrote to her about the arc and jackson's summons.

i gave her the website details so she could see for herself.

At first one might reason that it is simply one minister who is wrong or certain church members who do not do right. But what if the minister who downgrades the Bible continues to hold his position? And what if the church members who do wrong continue to be in good standing? Then it is time to face the fact that the bad fruits identify the religious organization itself.

JWs have more good points than bad

1) many who were on the destructive path have been transformed by their teachings (this includes me who was once vicious, and presumptuous and atheistic).

2) equal monthly pay to all members of the bethel community regardless of whether they are bc members or sweepers.

this is something that still remains as an unattainable dream for the world.

Dang Doc!! You beat me to it! I was at work, didn't have time to post, but that illustration of "just a drop of poison" in the water.... Would you drink it?" has always stuck in my head, and as a witness, I have asked it of many.

When Jesus was asked for evidence of his resurrection by Thomas, did he say "Wait on Jehovah?" or did he let him stick his fingers in the holes of his hands? Jesus gave proof, he didn't disfellowship people for asking.

On the other hand, I have had a family member disfellowshipped for telling the truth at a trial. We knew they would be disfellowshipped because we read trial after trial, and saw the same thing occur. No DFing until the trial was over. Want to testify in favor of a child? want to tell the truth? Be prepared to lose your family, your friends, your everything you have made for 20, 30, 40, 50 years. Bam! Gone!

The WT is not 'concerned about children' or they would welcome 'the truth' in such trials. I remember hearing as a child, teenager, young adult, mother that "We (the WT) have won so many court cases, we have fought for freedom of speech" .... when in reality? in these court cases (time after time after time) they use this "freedom of speech" to say, "we will not answer this, it takes away our freedom of religion"

I constantly heard the lawyers from WT say, "We have to protect the right of people to confess to the elders" Pedophiles are constantly protected 'by the law' that JW's so proudly quote. Children are not.

If Jesus is like the WT, and you like Jesus, then it is a sad day indeed.

Very sad.

Too Much Discontent in Congregation Part 1

i am seeing and hearing many, many long-time jws openly expressing problems with either the watchtower society itself, the publications, changing doctrine, incorrectly living their lives as a result of bad doctrine, the behavior of the boe and other related things.

i will share some of these things in several posts, because there are just too many of them.

the complaints that i hear from publishers and pioneers are many.

As weird as it sounds, I can picture a few people I knew that could "whisper" the F word under their breath to show their discontent when really at the end of their rope.
